I generally have strong, long nails and was looking for a strong top coat to use. I decided to try this as a top coat. It definitely took longer than 60 seconds to dry on top of dry nail polish but that didn't matter to me because I didn't buy it because of how fast it was supposed to dry. It was very affective because my nails didn't chip AT ALL but there were a couple bubbles in it making it appear kind of strange. However when I removed the nail polish my nails started to peel and break. It had NEVER happened before and now my nails are short and weak.

I just purchased this product over the Christmas holiday. So far, it's be GREAT! I haven't experienced the bubbles and other problems that have been mentioned here. I think some women may be trying to apply to much, or applying more than one coat. I applied a thin layer to bare nails as instructed and the results are awesome! The shiny look of my nails is also really cool. So far, I have no complaints about this product.

I bought this product on the 26th. As soon as I came home. Now I like my NATURAL nails. I always have, but the problem I have is as soon as they get to a certain point, they either break or when I do prolonged soaking in water, as far as washing dishes, bathing my children.
They become very weak.

I did a long search online for a base coat that would keep my nail polish chip free for longer than an hour. I saw someone recommend this product on a different site so when I saw it at K-Mart I thought I'd give it a try. I removed my nail polish using an acetone nail polish remover, then applied a thin layer of this product. I let it dry for a few minutes, then applied two coats of the "Diamond Strength" nail color, and a top coat of the "Nail Shine Miracle". I am in AWE! It has been two days since I did my nails, and I don't have a single chip yet (knock on wood). I type a LOT, and that usually destroys my nail polish. Last night I scrubbed some pans and my nail polish is still perfect. I think the base coat had a lot to do with the longevity of my nail color. I usually do not use a base coat; I usually just use 2-3 coats of polish and go on with my day. I'll never go back!

Despite the very mixed reviews I bought this anyway, and I'm really glad I did. I had no problems with any bubbling or chipping. It's a great base for my weak nails. My only complaint is in trying to remove it. I used is under colored polish and when I removed the polish the color came off but not this base coat. (I could still see the sheen left on my nails, though not as shiny as it's original coat.) I even used acetone remover. Looks like I might have to soak my nails to remove it.

I tried to apply it thinly, but even still, it took forever to dry, and it bubbled. Even two hours after applying, it dented easily. I went to bed six hours after applying, and woke up with the acrylic all dented and messed up. In the salons, the acrylic gel has to be "cured" with ultraviolet light. Is that what is wrong with this stuff? Does it have to be dried under UV? I want my money back. It's such a great idea! Please fix it so it will work at home, with no UV.

I really like this product! I bought it last week and it lasted the entire week without a chip of the polish! It makes my nails feel like they have a thick protective layer, like a salon quality gel application! I cant understand why others are giving it such bad reviews, it is a gel and can not be applied like an average clear coat. It MUST be applied quickly in long slow strokes on the nails to AVOID bubbles and since it drys quickly, must re-dip between nails!

This is the worst product I have ever purchased from Sally Hansen. The only thing correct about the description is the "no mixing" and the 60 second wait. I used this product as a base coat and it had many bubbles when it dried. My polish would literally peel off in one piece if it came into contact with water or if I accidentally rubbed it lightly on a surface, in less than 24 hours too. This was a complete waste of your company's money and my own.
